Swimming has long been a passion of hers, having been involved in competitive swimming, lifesaving and lifeguarding events throughout her career.
Inspired by her own children, having introduced them to the water at a very early age, it gives Rachel great pleasure to be in a position to share this wonderful experience with other parents / carers and their children.
Working with Rachel has been such a rewarding experience, introducing young babies, toddlers and their families to the pleasures and sheer delight of being in water, developing confidence, trust and bonding and bringing far more than swimming skills alone.

I learned to swim in the Atlantic Ocean off Portugal aged 7, and have a natural affinity for water, enjoying scuba, swimming and rowing. Both my own two girls, Maria and Katharine were in the water just a few weeks after they were born.
With a personal insight into the therapeutic and healing properties of water, I am now fortunate to spend even more time in the pool with little ones, sharing in their pleasures, development and achievements.
I am a Birthlight Infant Aquatics teacher, ASA and STA adult and child teacher and ASA swimming teacher. I also hold the Halliwick swimming therapy foundation course certificate. I am CRB checked, fully insured and hold the National Rescue award for teachers and coaches.
